Key Information to Remember
Food is fuel! I’m not saying absolutely everything has to be lean and clean but if performance is paramount then the choice is yours! Carbohydrates are essential in my opinion for performance, but my opinion aside it is irrefutable that One of the primary functions of carbohydrates is to provide your body with energy, your cells convert carbohydrates into the fuel molecule ATP through a process called cellular respiration. I am team carbs; however I am mindful of how many I eat based upon my performance goal.
Micronutrients are the little guys doing some big work behind the scenes, they don’t always get the credit they deserve by they are essential, and I mean ESSENTIAL to your diet as they are major nutrients your body wants and needs. Micronutrients are made up of vitamins and minerals, vitamins help with your immunity and blood health whilst minerals are key to bone health and growth. Overall the help the body stay maintains or improve health as well as boost brain function and can play roles in fighting lines and disease.
